I've been drawing for a long time. I love it, and I've found that I can express myself better through it. I've never really been one with words. My style's more cartoon-ish and laid-back, but I can do serious art. My muse is probably what goes on around me, and even stories or books I read. Coming up with characters and making up back stories for them is something else I like to do.
By the way, I also like to favorite things. A lot.
My family and I went to see the Fabergé: The Rise and Fall exhibit yesterday at the DIA.
God, everything was just beautiful. The history, the pieces themselves, it was all incredible!
And at the end of the exhibit they had five of the Fabergé eggs on display; it took my breath away just how lovely they were. I really do admire Fabergé not only as an artist and a magnificent jeweler, but as a businessman too. He knew what would keep customers coming back and he made some magnificent things in the process.
And in other news, I've taught myself how to knit, so there's that too.
Kim is trying to convince me to make a cosplay for Ceres (police girl) from Hellsing. I'm tempted, but I don't know where I'll find the time to put it together. Not to mention blond hair is pretty unbecoming on me, so I would probably not even wear a wig. And the gun.... Can you imagine making an anti-tank rifle out of pvc piping???
...I want to...
...but at the same time it makes me shudder just thinking about how much effort I would need to put into it
I haven't uploaded anything new because school's been keeping me busy e_e not in a bad way, it just sort of slipped my mind. Oh well, at least now I have two weeks to scan some things and upload them.
About a week ago I did a photo shoot for Beginning Photo and i got the last contact sheet developed yesterday, so I can at least guarantee those. I'm really happy about how good they turned out, so the prints should be very promising.
